François Guerrier is a French harpsichordist and organist. Graduate of the Conservatory Paris, he studied with Pierre Hantaï, Christophe Rousset, Elisabeth Joyé and Kenneth Weiss.
He is invited to perform as a soloist at the most prestigious festivals (La Roque d’Anthéron, Saintes, the Folle Journee, the Radio France Festival in Montpellier, the Harpsichordists of Chartres, the Dominicans…) as well as in Europe and in many countries of world: Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Brazil, Guatemala, Russia, etc.
He also performs with ensembles such as the Ricercar Consort, Collegium Vocale Gent, Gli Angeli Genève, Le Poème Harmonique, the Limoges Baroque Ensemble, the Royal Concertgebouw orchestra, as well as within the new Formosa baroque orchestra; his privileged chamber music partners are Christophe Coin, Philippe Pierlot, Sophie Gent, Hélène Schmitt, François Fernandez, Marc Hantaï.
He can be found at the Paris Opera (Alcina), the Brussels Mint (The Return of Ulysses), at the Aix en Provence Festival (L’Infedelta delusa), at the Opéra Comique (Cadmus et Hermione, Egisto). Since 2012, he has participated in the grand tour of Bourgeois Gentilhomme de Denis Podalydès and Christophe Coin.
Prize of the International Bach Competition in Leipzig 2006 and the Manoir de Pron 2005, he recorded numerous records, among which we will find three Partitas by Bach at Intrada, critically acclaimed.
François Guerrier teaches harpsichord and basso continuo in master classes as well as as well as within the Lisieux Summer Academy of Early Music.
