“For a composer, there is no more intense emotion than to hear their work performed as they would dream of doing themselves. Musically, everything was as if it could not be any other way, and I didn’t know what to admire the most: the beauty of the sound, the stylistic perfection, the depth and eloquence in her playing. It was on that evening that I knew that Isabelle Moretti is one of the greatest artists I have ever been privileged to meet.”
Philippe Hersant, composer

Emblematic figure of the harp today, Isabelle Moretti is feted throughout the world for her strong charisma on stage, and her powerful and refined playing.

She is invited to perform by the greatest halls and festivals in New York, London, Amsterdam, Moscow, Frankfurt, Paris, Nantes, and Caracas. She has performed as a soloist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, and the Warsaw National Symphony Orchestra.

She loves working with her chamber music partners Juliette Hurel, Magali Mosnier, François Leleux, Henri Demarquette, and with the Parisii, Ebène, and Hermès string quartets. Especially dear to her heart is her duo with Dame Felicity Lott: their disc Cantare continues to be a great success.

Highly committed to expanding the repertoire of her instrument, she has inspired composers such as Philippe Hersant, Bruno Mantovani, Michèle Reverdy, Thierry Escaich, and Thierry Pécou to write for her.

In present times, Isabelle Moretti is also acutely committed to ecology. The artist feels Pierre Rabhi’s words as if they were her own: “The earth, a silent being of which we are one of the living expressions, harbours eternal values formed of what is most lacking: the right cadence, the flavour of the seasons, and patience.” Isabelle Moretti can only conceive of her mission as a musician in close connection with her deepest convictions.
